tomorrow is yesterday. | She skitters after the man at a safe distance, dodging and weaving through the crowd. Best not to make the salt witches think she's with him, when things go pear-shaped. When he stops--and does nothing but stand there, she can feel a weak shred of disappointment rise in her chest. But she gives him time, peering around the corner of the wall, waiting for trouble to start. ALEXANDER EAST |

he'd been lying to himself when he'd said he didn't want to tangle with the salt witches -- he can feel it now, the natural instinct for chaos and disorder and death in his not-veins. it roars and demands that he leap to his feet, shed this skin of flesh-and-bone for something far more him -- but he waits. he doesn't have to wait long. one of the salt witches' eyes skates over him, then stops. turns back to him. stares. he gives the unlucky woman a grin, and -- there is chaos in the streets, as witches panic and fire spells, as the crowds stumble and empire-hopefuls scatter. alexander stands among it all, drinking it in. then finally, he leaps, and gone is the dusty traveler, only smoke-and-ash in its place. he disperses, weaving throughout the crowd. have your fun, pink-haired troublemaker.THALIA DE LUCA hope that was ok sobsNETTE OF GS

tomorrow is yesterday. | The salt witches roil in fear or shock--Thalia can't tell--and the street shakes from the weight of magic and terror alike. But even as Thalia leaps from behind the wall (though she's not sure what she could accomplish), the man vanishes before her eyes, leaving nothing but a faint scattering of smoke. Not a man at all, she thinks in awe and wonder. Not at all.
With his vanishing the salt witches calm, or at least appear to do so, and panic starts to disperse from the crowd. Still, there's good hunting to be had. Thalia darts around, pocketing valuables that puffed up rich folk, desperate to be told that they were a Champion and steadfast in their opinion of their own importance, had dropped in the scramble, but her heart isn't in it and her mind is miles away. She wonders what it's like to be more than what you seem. ALEXANDER EAST |
