Desta finds herself caught up in all the places she's ever been. She'd seen it from Upper Town, and couldn't resist, even after realizing how easy it had been to block out memories of The High City after she'd left. It had become a transitory space for her at some point, where an older self she'd rather not revisit belonged and called home for a time. She shakes it off, trying not to get lost.
There's a place she recognizes, if only because she vaguely remembers passing by it once or twice before. From what the windows tell her, it's relatively empty. She stops to listen, her breathing careful and calculated as she arrives at the conclusion: there's nobody inside. The window is an easy enough entrance- perhaps people think the area is so secure they have no need for latches.
She makes quick work of the room she's in. She doesn't intend to stay long and take too many things, she only has enough hands for so many items. Engrossed with rifling through a drawer and checking its contents for anything that she can possibly sell later, she doesn't notice that she isn't the only person in the house anymore.

Despite growing up within The High City, Killian has never felt at home within its confinements. If it's not just a general feeling of being lost, or not quite belonging, it's that he has no interest in mingling with those of higher status. It's as though the city has chewed him up and spit him out, on his ass and left to fend for himself (except, he knows this not to be true, he knows that if hardship were to befall him that his father would end up picking him up, placing him back on his feet).
Shara itself is too big, too wide, and too populous for one Killian Reyes. He figures once he retires or grows bored of the soldier/champion life, he'll move to the woods or mountains and live in solitude. It's something that's comforted him, a thought to keep him company on those particularly annoying days.
He enters his home to find that he is the first home, though it is not a surprise. His father did say something about having to go to a meeting, won't be home until late or something, and then was out the door without so much of a goodbye, not that he really was expecting or wanting one.
After tossing his bag to the chair adjacent him, making mental notes to take care of it later, he decides to meander the house. It takes him a moment to register the form going through and bagging random belongings, momentos that Killian probably doesn't care for anyway. When he does register that he is, in fact, being robbed from, all he can manage is a confused "Um."
DESTA JURE, sorry it's late ;u;.
