Despite being accustomed to wandering around in disguise, this does not mean that the dark mask Lyndon is wearing is any less uncomfortable. He's a fish out of water. Everyone is so prim and proper; it's awfully jarring.
He finds some comfort in reminding himself that the festivities are not for him. Blending in with his surroundings is something that Lyndon does rather well. He has a job to do, and the lady requires his eyes and his ears.
For the time being, everyone appears to be civil. This makes things all the more easier. open

◄ All it takes is a little bit of sugar and spice. "Oh dear, you are far too kind." A chipper voice would ring out from Lyndon's right, only to be followed by the sight of two wondrously dressed individuals that drift by him. The man is closest to him, a prim and proper military commander in his late thirties it seems, his chest covered in medals, jacket absolutely spotless and arm looped around his female counterpart's waist. And really, it's hard not to notice the extravagant military hat, with it's giant purple feather poking out from the top. But where the hard faced man (though he was growing rather pudgy!) just oozed primness as if he had spent his whole life preparing to just wear the uniform, the woman who had squeezed herself into his side was another story. She was wearing a magnificent red dress, accented and highlighted with black lace as her large skirt flit and turned with each of her motions. Where he was stone and regimented, she was alight and floaty, a bright smile on her face that contrasted his own nonplussed expression as she tilted her head, those sharp blue eyes catching sight of Lyndon as they passed. It would be for nary a moment, and if he blinked he might have missed it, but it seems the dark haired young woman would shoot him a wink. Or, maybe, just maybe it was a miscast glance? But, it would be gone as soon as it came.
Were he to watch a little longer, he would see the lady lean up and whisper something in the man's ear, her hand clutching his tightly before she giggles and leans down, now taking a step back from him as she holds his hands and tilts left and right on the spot. It seems like a silly little dance, but it will last nary a moment before she pulls her hands back, clasps them in her lap and bows gently before turning about...
And there she is, staring directly at Lyndon.
It seems she might have seen something interesting. And that is quite the scary look she's giving him! It's almost shark like, her eyes somewhat narrowed and a sharp grin creasing her features as those blue eyes seemingly bore holes into him.

It was difficult for Lyndon to ignore the pair that passed him by. Although their attire was flashy enough, it was the woman's aura that made it difficult for him to ignore her. Immediately, his gaze was attracted to her and -- had she winked at him? Perhaps it was a trick of the light. After all, the boy had been fairly absorbed in watching the way the lady seemed to float across the floor instead of using her feet.
Perhaps his first mistake had been not disappearing into the crowd when the lady was busy whispering something in the man's ear. Her blue eyes meet his own, and Lyndon quickly readjusts his gaze. He isn't here to speak with anyone, and attracting attention was the last thing that he wanted here. Standing out in a crowd was not exactly a positive trait for a spy.
The expression she is giving him is not exactly a friendly one, but instead, it sends chills down his back. Perhaps she expects something from him. He wears no medals that decorate the lapel of his suit; he has nothing to give to her. Still, it would be rude not to greet the woman. He sensed that she was somewhere fairly high up on the food chain.
Lyndon gives her a small nod despite the fact that he's swallowing in anxiety. vladimira
