This isn't right.

Now and days the feeling of pleasure you experienced from your “scientific research” left a bitter taste in your mouth. You wondered when it started; when the tingling feeling at your finger tips, just before you sliced open flesh still breathing in order to examine its innards, left you empty. Soon it was just adding another ingredient to your shelf of hearts and eyes, another illustration of anatomy added to her journal for future reference, another creature slaughtered by your hands and another pool of blood staining the oak wood floor for you to clean up later.

How you once enjoyed killing, how it made you feel alive. But what changed? The question repeats in your mind every time a body breathes its last, when it finally stops resisting you. There’s no grief, just emptiness.

You put on a mask and feign innocence to the blind, what they don’t know won’t hurt them. It isn't hard, with those doe-eyes, rosy pink cheeks and petite physique. Lying was easy for you, it was normal and you were used to it, you even have strangers call you Effie for short.

You began travelling the world in order to bring that feeling of ecstasy back, to search for a cure for the void in your chest while still collecting, still researching and still killing.



Combat: You could say Ephemeris is a "jack of all trades" when it comes to fighting. Not only is she a witch practicing elemental magic, she's also quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat. She got her fighting style from years of watching others, she's adaptable and quick on her feet. As a bonus she uses a multitude of throwing knives that are hidden in various places on her body.

Elemental Magic:  The witch has had her magical capabilities for as long as she could remember. With her elemental magic, she's able to manipulate, shape and create the basic elements of nature. It became clear when she was younger that Ephemeris has control over all four elements; but she as good at controlling them as one might think.  even with nineteen years of training she's only managed to master the fire element and become well adept in water magic.

Familiar Spirit: A witch is nothing without a familiar and Ephemeris is no exception. Minerva, who's normally referred to as Minnie by Ephemeris, is a shape-shifting spirit animal that has been by her master's side ever since she was a child and has assisted her in practicing magic ever since; she is also considered to be Ephemeris's one true friend. Other then her shifting abilities, Minerva has an extensive amount of knowledge on the magically arts as she also acts as Effie's teacher. (Also Minerva has mixed colored eyes, one green and one blue; in whatever animal form she takes her eyes will stay mixed.)
