[attr="class","appbody"] [attr="class","appcat"]bio You've never left the mountains before. It is your home, and though you don't know your father, your mother raises you with tenderness and utmost attention. She teaches you how to hunt for food, teaches you that the death sentence in your fangs can be used to heal the residents of the earth. From her, you learn how to listen to the whispering in the wind, and that is how you learn of the world and the cruelties that abound. There was no need to seek other company because you had each other. The earth brings warnings of two-legged men, and your mother tells you to stay away from humans. Because you are obedient, you listen, and you turn tail whenever you see them. She tells you that you are not strong enough to fight back, even if your fangs are fully grown. Mother always knows best. One day, you see a man with an axe, and before Mother can strike with her fangs, he drives the blade into her neck. Her blood corrodes the metal, but the damage is done. He gives Mother not even a second glance and moves on to find his next prey. You would have fought too, intercepted, but Mother always said to never approach a human. So you don't, and she is gone forever. Her body dissolves into the earth that she loved, leaving her bones behind. You lift Mother's skull off the grass and fit it over your head. It's nice, having some part of her with you. [attr="class","appcat"]lore & abilities Although the typical naga that comes to mind for most, there exists a vein of nagas that are more closely-related to the lung dragons. Serpentine, flightless, horned dragons, many are gifted with the magic to take on human form. Reclusive creatures, they are only malevolent towards humans when mistreated or provoked. With close ties to the earth, they are incredibly sensitive to the mistreatment of nature. Over the years, many have been slain, for it is said that their venom contains a key ingredient in an elixir for immortality. The fangs of a naga drip with virulent poison. Generally, exposure to any yields paralysis and, if left untreated, immediate death. The venom is not limited to this particular method, and its composition can change from within the host naga's body. Similarly, the antidotes and medicines of a wide variety of toxins and other ailments can be treated with the serum that a naga emits either through its fangs or its blood. If you ask a naga nicely, they may be more than willing to mix medicine for you. As a flightless dragon, the naga is closely tied to the earth. When connected with it, they can extend their lines of sight, a magic most closely related to scrying. Closely-tied to the water as well, they can extend their lines of sight by using a body of water as well. Sensitive to the change in nature around them, a naga can detect a moving body from miles away if they are on the ground, allowing them advanced notice and time to flee if need be. Despite possessing strength far above the average human, they prefer to avoid fights. Regarded as nature spirits by some, the flora of their surroundings is theirs to mold. They can coax plants into growth that normally would not bloom during a specific time of the year. They can coax a tree into maturity within a few seconds if push came to shove. They can grow fruits on trees that normally would not yield any produce, causing sightings of these creatures to be a sign of fertility. | [attr="class","appname"]CAELIN [attr="class","appicon"] [attr="class","appstats"] AGE: 60 SEX: M RACE: NAGA HOMELAND: CENTERSPINE CONTRACT: N [attr="class","appquote"]I DIVE INTO THE DEEP, INTO THE SEA INSIDE OF ME. |
