we were all too small to talk to god | She was moving in behind him, would he give her space? It was like Sebastian to give people space, he always gave too much. Always distancing himself from everything. His board was an instrument that guided him to people, and was always an escape from them. It wasn’t unusual for him to give rides, but never was control given. The movement is awkward, hesitant. He’s giving her room, given her enough room to feel comfortable. “Are you ready?” With his own diminishing comfort he does not wait for answer. Instead they are launched off, it is rocky but he maintains his foothold. He’s done this hundreds of times, the act is simple but for Eden she may find it a bit challenging. But this will not be the hardest challenge for her. The clouds have always been in sight, but never have they been so close. For someone of Irkalla, though, the clouds are always close. There is the sound of whirling fans coming from the board, but do not be confused. The board has reached its maximum height. “You are in control of the fall.” Sebastian speaks in a flat serious tone. “We can go higher, if you want, and higher still.” The board glows, spikes and they have gotten wet. They have gotten higher, they have reached the clouds, no. Gone straight through the clouds. “Press down and lean forward and we will dive. Let up, balance yourself and we’ll glide down.”EDEN FARRON |

And so lying underneath those stormy skies She'd say, "oh, I know the sun must set to rise"
She was not as ready as she thought she steeled herself to be. As the board began to move, standing a safe but comfortable distance behind Sebastian, she instinctively reached out and grabbed him around the waist. It was sudden but not abrupt; it didn't disrupt his movements, but she was holding on for dear life.
She didn't realize what she was doing until he speaking and they were breaking the cloud barrier, the damp air (or water, rather. could water be called damp?) soaking through her thin clothing. She definitely didn't let go now and would likely be shivering if the cold had clouded over the pure adrenaline of the moment. Which it didn't.
"I-I have NEVER been up this high before! This is so! This is so... terrifying! Frightening! I'm sacred out of my mind!" Her volume was raised to be heard through the pressure of the wind bearing down on her. She would most likely be dead if she lost her footing and that fact did not leave her mind. However...
"THIS IS SO COOL!"
Her mouth was agape, eyes wide, the look of childish innocence beating out sheer terror while she gazed down through the clouds, in the clouds, the ground, any peeks of anything she was able to steal and mentally catalog.
She tried to steady herself at his instructions, still tightly clinging. If all went well, the board would glide down now, right?
Or they'd die in a horrifying splat! of blood and gory, but hey.
It was so cool!
