[attr="class","round"] I name your solitude
A place where nobody was somebody. A place where everyone was nobody, and where life was just which side of the coin you were on.
Perfect for him.
He liked it here. Searching amongst the desolate ones, looking, picking, and then taking what he wanted. They would follow him, and they would serve him, most of them thankful. That he choose them, that he gave them a way out, and more so, a chance to live. A life, a thing so scared that most winced at the chance to take it. They hated that break in their morals.
But not down here.
He was looking, searching, for something amusing. They thought he would save them, they were so thankful they left him break them. And when they realized his betrayal, then it was even better, for their faces let him see the true expanse of human emotion, of minds and people. He liked that feeling, like a predator that loved the fear of his prey. And sometimes, he sought better prizes, but that wasn't often - it would get him caught some day, or even killed.
That was him musing however. He just wanted to find something down here, wearing dusted, not so rich clothing as to not be a target. He was smarter then that after all. But there was the hint in his posture. Guarded of course, but still a 'come hither' to those that wanted a way out. Plus, he did have an informant to go seek out within this mess, eventually. But those were just possibilities.
And those were often endless.

it wouldn't have been even the fifth time that zareen belet had escaped her guards to go sightseeing, but her father had anticipated it. the girl toys with her restriction bracelet as she walks down the street of old town. she had taken a wrong turn somewhere, but her father had sealed her powers enough so that she wouldn't obliterate an entire city block. losing shara's favor would be a problem. a problem for whom, even? the man won't live long. it's the same kind of logic that convinced zareen that men past the age of fifty shouldn't be serving on her council. what business did they have deciding the future for the next thirty years? none whatsoever. so that's the mood that she had been in ever since she completely lost her way about ten minutes ago. her guards did not want to draw attention to the fact that a royal was walking around unsupervised. what fools. zareen skips off to find her own way back to upper town. she's not truly lost if she can still see the spires from here. five minutes later, she runs into the shadiest man that she could possibly have met. zareen glowers at him from a couple feet below, refusing to budge an inch. "get out of my way, trash."there's a proverb that says the horse should move around the city, and the city should not move around the horse. this man ought to learn the same. Ah, interesting things did come to those that waited.
Namely, this little thing. A beautiful girl for sure, and that arrogance. She was not one of these people, as the male felt a smile touch his face. ''Lost, child?'' he responded to her comment. It had been rather brazen of her to say the least, but that already told him much. She was not a commoner, and not even bourgeois or low level nobility. Mid-level was possible, but that would've been right if she had recognized him. The possibility that she was not from Shara crossed his mind, but he discared it for the sake of keeping his conclusion simple.
So high level to royalty even. Interesting to say the least, as the male wondered if he should, indeed, try his hand at a noble again. He still remembered that girl's trust in him. But then again, she had been weak and a test of how far he had wanted to go. He had, thankfully not run into her, but had merely stopped in front of her as she blocked his path. In fact, she didn't want to move, and so he would indulge her in this kind of battle of wills. ''Although you may be lost, you're certainly lacking basic courtesy.'' he said, letting his voice sound bored. His eyes didn't even look directly at her, instead focusing on various small movements he was making.
He quite liked being an asshole, particularly to disrespectful, arrogant little girls.
ZAREEN BELETI hope everything is all good with the post she's so cute tho [newclass=.round] width: 100px; height: 100px; padding:0px; margin-right:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.round img] width: 100px; height: 100px; border:#e3e3e3 solid 1px; padding:0px; margin:auto; border-radius:50px;[/newclass]

courtesy? she just called him trash, and he thinks that she gives a damn about courtesy? zareen swears that men as a race are getting dumber with every passing year. "are you deaf on top of blind?" she's not lost, and she's so disgusted that anyone would think so lowly of her. the tower is right there, how could anyone with eyes possibly be lost? "do i have to add stupidity to the list too?""get out of my way now, and maybe i'll be merciful enough to forget this ever happened." zareen inspects her fingernails as she waits, pleased that the purple polish had managed to survive the past couple of days.
