will grow bitter in time. |  The glamour sits heavy on Thalia's skin, like an itch she cannot scratch. She crosses her legs in the carriage, and then uncrosses them. Her hair is knotted tightly at the base of her neck as not to interfere with the spell, and the weight is giving her a headache. The carriage shudders to a halt and she scowls in annoyance. There's silence for a moment, and then the scrambled noise of men hitting each other with sharpened sticks of metal. Lovely. She's being robbed. What a great start to this infiltration. The door swings open and a masked man charges up. Or tries to charge up--whatever he was expecting, it probably wasn't Thalia's fist in his face. She checks the blow a little so he just crumples to the ground instead of his head exploding in a shower of gore and bone. She steps over him and picks up his sword. The sword is absolutely no help when an arrow sprouts in her throat. LARSA KARIMI you can fastforward to larsa's place, just assume someone dragged her there bc they were like "wtf why is this lady still gurgling with an arrow in her throat" |

meep we are like young volcanoes! | Each time a battered and bruised person comes stumbling through the doors of his clinic, Larsa thinks to himself, whoa, this one's the worst I've seen. There's no way anyone else would be able to survive if they were ever injured past this. But each time he says this to himself, someone manages to find themselves torn up even more. It was irritating, and each time it happened, they just ended up getting more blood all over the floor.
Gross.
Granted, if this was Larsa's constant line of thinking, he would have closed up shop a long time ago. So instead of rolling the corpse(?) out the door, he kneels at the woman's side. He has enough shoddy medical expertise to know that yanking the arrow out of her throat was a very, very bad idea. He was a witch, not a doctor.
"Okay, so I don't know if you can hear me. But if you can, I'm really sorry if I accidentally kill you, and if I do, please find something to other than me to attach your vengeful spirit to... Thanks, I'd really appreciate that." Larsa rubs his hands together before placing one over her throat, and the other, fingers clasped around the body of the arrow. A faint, white light begins to emit from the hand hovering just above the skin.
Slowly, but surely, he eases the arrow out before the accelerated healing closes her skin around the weapon.

will grow bitter in time. | Someone drags her over the ground, their arms around her chest. Rocks tear at her legs, draw open cuts that close again moments later. Thalia chokes her way back to awareness. There's a line of fire through her throat. She tries to open her eyes, can't. A voice shouts above her, from a great distance, and then another person picks up her legs. She travels faster over the ground now with the two of them carrying her, coughing on her own blood and trying to breathe past the arrow in her throat. After a time she stops trying to force herself awake and alive and sinks back into the dark. Later: a voice again. Directed at her, this time, not merely about her. Not the same voice. Thalia tries to open her eyes without thinking, and finds that she can. A ceiling swims into view. Her vision is still blurry. She focuses on it until the sight clears, and then turns her head. A boy with blue hair kneels above her. Thalia makes her body sit up, accomplishes the task faster than she might have thought possible. Tries to scramble backwards away from him--has to take a moment to hack up a clot of dried blood first. One hand rises to her throat, probing at the healing scar there. "Who are you?"LARSA KARIMI |
