im so sorry for this post i couldnt help myself feel free to /ignore otl
Cerul is very interested in the secrets SOPHIA ROSENBURG might be hiding underneath her pretty little social facade. Cerul would never fight a battle he wouldn't be able to win and wouldn't be very sure he could take the draugr on, so there likely wouldn't be much antagonizing going on aside from snide side comments from the curious fey. Despite his line of work he's also very trustworthy, meaning he'd be unlikely to spill the beans on Sophia's true side to anyone and would more just want to be involved in whatever way he can; just to see how this plays out. He's a monster that lives among the mortal kind but not anywhere near the extent that Sophia involves herself. It's true that Sophia can hold her own in the world with the powers she has, but a little help from a being of pure magic might not be the worst thing she could have on her side. He also has no friends, so. . .

FELYSE DE REYNE + ARTEMIS REINHARDTsophia i have a lot of good reasons why felyse wouldn't know, but it all boils down to "this entire plot is getting too close to metagaming territory for me to be comfortable with". i'm open to other ideas that seem a little more feasible in consideration to the setting and sophia's personal circumstance. sophia has literally not tried to kill anyone in literal years so yeah honestly he can try to interact with her as normal civilians? alya ummm she's mostly on projects to expand irkalla's own understanding of lands beyond its own borders (monsters especially). which i understand can be something of a niche field for some, especially in a time of war. and uh. yeah alya's probs not the best person to talk ab revenge. if anything, she'd probably try to dissuade him cos revenge Fucks People Up. if you wanna do something hmu stefan why does everyone like this grumpy old fart i have no clue if anything, i'd really like a plot that isn't just pure.... "lets annoy stefan because it might be fun" because honestly rping him in casual settings bores me most of the time and will probs bore everyone else involved. mostly he just doesn't CARE as much about other people's dumb antics as people think he does honestly they can fight but i'm honestly not sure how that would go down since stefan is acutally a champion raised from birth to be an emotionless killing machine --- CERUL D'AMORE honestly if we're dealing secrets then i feel like a flashback thread would work better for these purposes. sophia is very guarded with hers because most of her secrets are tied to her very survival. honestly the lore part of the app isn't reliable at all because a lot of the 'facts' are red herrings that human scholarship has been writing about. she's a draugr, but their actual origins and shit are stuff that i've still been keeping under wraps. i'll give you whatever secrets might make a good plot, but not enough to ruin dramatic suspense hahaha (he'd also have to have the magical means to know these secrets ICly ofc) honestly her pre-coming to civilization life was rather dull aside from the occasional bounty hunters who knew enough about her potental monetary value. sophia was probs much more nilhistic and kept to herself. she only remembers like 10 names or so out of her 30-40 years of wandering the mountain alone but HEY CERUL COULD BE ONE OF THEM... IF YOU ABSOLUTELY WANT A PRESENT DAY THREAD then she's in irkalla living it up as a councilman's adoptive daughter. sophia is rly not sketchy at all until she gives into her temper and starts acting a lot older (scarier) than a twenty something year old lmfao but she also.......avoids being seen with overly sketchy people in public...........so i still feel like flashback in the northern mountains is the better way to go until circumstances develop some more

So in present day it seems even more unlikely to happen, with where Cerul is currently bunking 'n all. My secrets comment was mostly a handwave to the fact that those are what drive this fey, mainly, as he gets paid with personal memories and gossip in return for the fortunes he tells. Though if there's anything specific you (or rather Sophia) wishes to divulge... the biased knowledge and thoughts of others get Cerul all giddy. Cerul has been around a good ~40 years longer than Sophia in his current lifetime and he definitely has been around everywhere a few times before he settled so I can really see him having crossed paths with her before she started indulging herself in social settings. Once more, he's not likely to be an antagonistic figure-- not only would he not have a reason straightaway it wouldn't matter whether he knew her race or true abilities or not. He wouldn't act against an unknown opponent anymore than a known, stronger one. (Not that many races can best him in a magical fight.) Though... honestly... with how shrouded in mystery Sophia is, both in the sense of her being a draugr and what she ends up doing with her life, a keen interest isn't outside of bounds for Cerul. Divination is never set (as the future isn't) and exact circumstances are impossible to discern, but such a drastic change in outward personality could have shown up in the stars for Sophia. He probably... wouldn't directly say anything, though. It'd spoil the fun. Even if just as one-time acquaintances, I'd really like to do somefin with them, if that's okay. Mine (and his) curiosity is peaked. (though meeting again afterwards in present day time for some reason or another when they're already aware of eachother could be... really interesting)

(though meeting again afterwards in present day time for some reason or another when they're already aware of eachother could be... really interesting) tbh you're actually p well informed for someone who only has one character irkalla and shara aren't QUITE at war yet, but i feel like most people with any political sense have more or less gathered that it's pretty much inevitable. empires got their pride and shara's got the resources to easily back up a war. oooh that could be real interesting tbh. sophia doesn't claim affiliation or kinship with any other monster but i think cerul being feyfolk wouldn't....hurt their interaction, at least? sophia's weakness to iron is a shoutout to some fairy heritage somewhere way back in her evolutionary line (lmao the humans from a few hundred years ago think that she's a revanant due to some ecological history shit but nah). she's not the prying sort for details but i think if he introduced himself as fey then she might be intrigued enough to accept some kind of invitation. i have some of her plot planned out so i don't mind leaking a few details for the purposes of divination. i don't have anything set, but re: the future isn't either. if they're doing flashback then LOL yeah the future is set for sure. do u wanna start a thread or should i

You're quite kind. I feel like I didn't do justice to the feyfolk with how I portrayed them in Cerul's app so I hope they can live up to the world's, and all the other monster's, standards-- honestly. Feel free to spill anything to ~either of us should you want to, but my plan currently would just be Cerul getting a read on how the little draugr is going to turn out in, oh, twenty years (that would be how long it's been since she started integrating herself into society, right? maybe more?) and taking an interest in that pretty head of hers. (The inside, not the outside.) The hardest part is going to be getting to the part where he could even get a clear reading as Sophia doesn't seem inclined to sit down for tea and magical poisonous apples. At that, I am having a difficult time thinking of a good starter for this roleplay, and while I will be spending time thinking one up you're welcome to go ahead and start should an idea hit you.

SOPHIA ROSENBURG wow this reply is late gomen. but anyway, liana's a businesswoman, she won't care about stefan's opinions as long as it sets bread on her table. and she can strike a deal with karimi, haggling's her thing. iunno how either would care about her dealing with both sides...?

omg im even later gomen dude you know stefan...he'd probably threaten liana into quitting the double dealing in some super underhanded way meanwhile alya... wouldn't be impressed by the double dealing, but she'd probably be a lot more understanding about her having to make a living + her need to stay on the empire's good side. if stefan becomes a real problem then alya would be willing to back off for her sake. she'd probs want at least one dracolisk for study, though.
