Ava didn't often have reason to visit the empire. One could go so far as to say she avoided it. But she'd bought some things that were rumored to be sold for a pretty penny at Irkalla, and as she reasoned with herself, the walk didn't seem to much. It was crossing the empire's border that grew to be the tiring part, and at once upon entering the city she desired a rest. The sun was just peeking under the hills, signaling the coming of night and unwanted strangers with it.

Ava asked an elderly-looking person where the nearest inn was, and she was directed to a deeper part of the city. What she wanted most was to lie down and sleep, but the owner spoke of a good cafe nearby, and Ava dropped off her things at her paid room, grabbed her bag, and headed there, if only to find a warm drink.

She entered the place and stood for a moment, taking in her surroundings. It seemed like a friendly place, though she kept her guard up nonetheless. Head high, she headed to the bar and took a seat, bag held close. "What's the best drink to get here?" She asked.
